We joyfully announce that at the May 6 Congregational Meeting,
SUUF voted to call the Rev. Dr. Frank Placone-Willey
as our Settled Minister.
Sunday Services: 10:00 a.m.
to 11:15 a.m. Refreshments in Sunday Cafe: After service until around 11:30 a.m.
Circle Discussion: Begins around 11:30 and lasts about a half hour.
Summit Office Hours: Monday: 9:00 a.m. to Noon Tuesday - Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Minister Office Hours: Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Thursday: 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Upcoming Sunday Services
May 20: "Beyond Disgust: Toward a Morality of Compassion" Rev. Frank Placone-Willey
Over the past nine months, well over a third of our Summit Community has in some way been involved in studying and practicing compassion according to the schema outlined by religious historian Karen Armstrong in her book, Twelve Steps to a Compassionate Life. Our reflection this Sunday will be fueled with testimonies from study group participants, and punctuated with a reflection by Rev. Frank that draws upon the works of social psychologist Jonathan Haidt, his holiness the Dalai Lama and others.
May 27: “MUSIC SUNDAY!” Summit Musicians and Choral Director, Jill Reis
The musical talents of our Fellowship's members and friends are among our most precious resources, and music can open us to inspiration and understanding like no other spiritual discipline. This Sunday come enjoy a fun, informal and musically diverse service involving musicians from our own Summit community! If you would like to participate in this service, all you need to do is provide the specified info (see page 5-6) to Jill Reis by 10:00 pm on May 8th.
June 3: Coming of Age Celebration
In this special Sunday service our members and friends will witness and support our youth and their mentors in this important ritual that their transitions from childhood to the path toward adulthood. The testimonies given are sure to move and inspire.
